Is the rsr I earn from staking going back into my total rsr staked? I would love it if this was the case because it would compound over time.

Which DTF are you trying to stake on? Index DTFs earn staking rewards in the form of the DTF token itself.

I know they do. But the stake is a percent of the holdings. I was curious if the rewards got added to the holding so the percent rewarded grows each time

David B.: Let me clarify. 
If you are staking on an Index DTF, the answer is no. Staking rewards are paid out in the Index DTF. 
If you are staking on a Yield DTF, the answer is yes. Staking rewards are paid out in RSR and the RSR earnings are auto-compounded.
